3 to go for the Blues and a final night under the Wezzie lights for the season as we welcome Sheffield FC for our latest NCEL fixture, kick off is at 7:45pm

Frickley returned to winning ways on Friday night after grinding out a tough 2-0 victory over a gritty Wombwell Town side. Goals from Elliott Andrew and Sam Cable in the second half gave the Blues the edge in the contest to lift some of the pressure heading into these final 3 games

The win saw Frickley climb to 12th in the NCEL Premier table on 41 points and effectively secured our status for another season, with multiple teams below now needed victories in all of their remaining games to move above the Blues. One win in the final 3 games would also secure the Blues highest ever points total at this level

It will be a tough ask tomorrow night though against a Sheffield FC side in top form. The Club are currently 3rd in the NCEL table and pushing to finish best of the rest behind Liversedge and secure the home advantage in the playoffs. They have won their last 6 matches, including a hard fought 1-0 win against Bottesford Town on Saturday

Sheffield were the comfortable winners when the two sides met back in September, running out 5-0 winners. The first half was a close affair with Sheffield edging it through a Nathan Whitehead goal. But the second half was the Alex Hardwick show as he scored 4 goals to secure the rout for the Club
