Under the lights on a cold autumnal evening is what proper footy is all about - & both sides gave us a proper footy match to watch The first competitive home match of the season for our Young Azzurri - & they didn't disappoint (they rarely do!) - & it turned out to be a really tight affair & ultimately it took one piece of magic to decide the game. We started brightly & Matty 'The Motor' Hughes got in behind the visitors defence a couple of times but couldn't find the decisive pass or shot to trouble the opponents keeper. For…
Some sad news to report

They were amongst the first people to talk to me when I made my first tentative steps towards becoming an Ultra in the 70s & a great double act. Jacks funeral is Monday 21st October 12:20pm at Pontefract Crematorium Paddy Tierney passed away earlier this week. Another legend who has been involved with the club for…

The first game of yet another new era sees the Blues had to Goole AFC in the NCEL, kick off is at 3:00pm Blues News It’s been a hectic week for the Blues off the field as last weekend’s 4-2 defeat to Golcar saw the end of the James Baxendale era after only 13 league games in charge. The Blues made a shocking start to the game, going 3-0 down inside the opening 15 minutes. However, hope was restored after half time when two quick goals from Jack Varley and Jamie Tomlinson dragged the Blues back into the game. Despite…

There is no finer sight than the Wezziecana (aka The SALUS Stadium), especially under the floodies on a cold winter evening but the floodlights are inching closer to their end of life.
