LLOYD ALLINSON SIGNS FOR THE BLUES
Frickley Athletic Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson on a season-long loan from Cleethorpes Town.
The 32-year-old arrives at The Wezzie with countless experience across several levels of the non-league as well as some in the football league. He becomes the seventh signing and addition to Martyn Woolfords squad for the upcoming 2026/27 campaign
Any eager eye Blues fans will have noticed Lloyd playing in net throughout our pre-season fxitures, putting in some solid performances between the sticks.
A product of Huddersfield Town’s academy, Allinson made his Championship debut for the Terriers in 2016 before joining Chesterfield in League One. He has since established himself as one of the Northern Premier League’s most experienced goalkeepers, representing clubs including FC United of Manchester, Nantwich Town, Guiseley, Ashton United, Gainsborough Trinity, Hyde United, Scarborough Athletic and Pontefract Collieries.
After more than four years with Pontefract, Allinson joined Cleethorpes Town in January 2026, adding further experience to an impressive footballing CV. Known for his consistency, leadership and reliability, he has earned a strong reputation wherever he has played.
