Over the last few weeks we have been in discussions with our local community American Football team, specifically regarding bringing the Gridiron under the Frickley banner & all that hard work has now come to fruition & we are delighted to announce that they are now part of the ‘Frickley Family’
Frickley Director Phil McCroakam thoughts:
“The club and our Community Foundation are pleased to announce that our local American Football team will be coming under the Frickley banner. The aspirations of all 3 organisations to support and be part of the local community in SESKU makes this another step towards collective success. Creating a Community Foundation and then the academy becoming part of the club are all part of the journey to be something bigger than the individual elements. We might not find the next Tom Brady but we hope that being part of Frickley can be positive for all of those that get involved in whichever aspect of it”
Head Coach, Paul Wake:
“We are delighted to be welcomed under the Frickley Athletic banner. Though I pursued other sports, I grew up a stones throw from the ground and well remember how it was a vibrant hub for the community & recognise how it is becoming so again. Frickley Athletic is an organisation that values community, which is what our Program is all about. We are excited at the potential of this enterprise and the positive impact for our community, especially the young people we work with.”
