Project 600 is here as we bring you your festive footy fix from the Wezzie with the visit of Penistone Church for our final NCEL Premier Division game of 2025, kick off is at 3:00pm

If you’ve never been to a Frickley game before, there’s never been a better time as the Blues came into the Festive period on fantastic form, having extended our unbeaten run to 5 matches in all comps with a hard thought 1-1 draw away at playoff pushing Tadcaster Albion last week.

With a number of key players missing, the lads dug in and withstood a lot of pressure from the home side to take a point away and keep the momentum going. That’s now just 1 defeat in the last 11 matches for the Blues as the push up the table hopefully continues.

Frickley went into Christmas within the top half of the fire NCEL Premier Division table, sitting 10th on 32 points after picking up 10 from the 4 games so far in December. That’s leaves the Blues 7 points outside the playoff places na hopeful of forcing a way into the reckoning as 2026 gets underway.

Our final visitors of 2025 are Penistone Church. Church have endured a difficult 2025/26 season so far as they find themselves in 16th place, just 4 points clear of the relegation zone. They are currently on the second longest winless run in the league, stretching back 13 matches to a 2-0 win over Bottesford Town on 17th September so will be desperate to turn that around with a positive result tomorrow

It will be a chance for the Blues to pick up our 3rd ‘double’ of the season however, following our first ever league win at Penistone back in August. Goals from Destiny Nnenanya and Luis Afonso-Ferreira secured a 2-0 victory for the Blues on that day

So dust off those festive Blues and get yourselves down to the Wezzie for a cracking game of Festive Football. We’re targeting an attendance of at least 600 people for Project 600 so come on down and make a massive difference. Ground and bar will be open from 1:00pm, admission is as per below:
