It’s that time of year again!! Non League Day is upon us and this year we host Tadcaster Albion at Westfield Lane for our latest NCEL fixture, kick off is at 3:00pm

It’s been a busy week as Tuesday night’s 4-1 defeat to Penistone sadly brought an end to Pat McGuire’s tenure as manager. We once again thank Pat for all his efforts during the past 12 months and wish him all the best for the future.

But tomorrow brings a fresh start as interim management team Luke Potter and Robert Tonks join John Stancliffe in the Frickley dugout for the first time. We wish them all the best and hope that tomorrow brings a turn around to recent fortunes.

We welcome a Tadcaster Albion side on a 4 game unbeaten run in the league that’s seen them leap frog the Blues in the NCEL table to sit in 12th place. Their last result was a respectable 1-1 draw away at Hallam on Tuesday night so it promises to be a tough first test for the new luck Frickley.

We go all the way back to August for the reverse fixture as Frickley picked up their first win of the season following a 4-2 away win. A Lloyd Smith brace was sandwiched between strikes from Al Keita and Eliel Anku to give the Blues the 3 points, Lewis Stephens and Daniel Thirkell with the goals for Taddy

So come along and get behind the lads and the new management team. Your support is as important now more than ever and, with it being non league day, what better time than now to get down to Westfield Lane and cheer the lads on.

Tomorrow will also be your chance to vote for your supporters player of the season. Slips will be available from the programme kiosk so don’t forget to place your vote.

Hope to see you all there
