Supporter’s Player of the Year Lewis Binns commits to the upcoming 2023/24 campaign.
Assistant manager Blake Campbell commented: “For Pat and myself coming into the club, we could see the importance of Lew’s impact on the team off the pitch. On the pitch, he’s an honest player and a player that doesn’t shy away from a graft. He is someone who we know we can work with again both on and off the pitch. It is worth mentioning that Binnsy committed for the upcoming season back in April on the Thursday night training session before the Goole fixture. He’s a solid character and we look forward to working with him for the upcoming season.”
Binns commented: “I’m really pleased to be able to represent Frickley Athletic for the upcoming season again. I’m sure Pat, Blake and the boys will agree with me on wanting to better the efforts of last season and push towards the top end of the table. The aim is to get Frickley closer to where it needs to be, and repay the loyalty of the fans and everyone connected with the club.”
Binns was an ever present figure and leader on and off the pitch last season, making 32 appearances for the club.
