Another new(ish) signing to tell you about! The Speed Demon, Matthew Hughes, re-signs for The Blues!
After starting out with our U19s, Matty made his first team debut in the Integro Cup in 2016/17. Matty then left to go to the likes of Armthorpe to gain more game time.
Matty returned for the first time at the beginning of last season before injury limited his opportunities. He then moved on to Armthorpe again and Handsworth.
Throughout the last 2 seasons, Matty has been turning out for Martin Beaumont’s all-conquering U23s side where he has been in scintillating form.
But now he’s back and available for the first team!
In total, to date Matty has made 16 first team appearances, scoring 1 goal.
There’s no finer sight than seeing Hughesy getting the afterburners on and flying down the wing. Welcome back, Matty!
