Well that was a shame wasn’t it – the boys rather let themselves down somewhat with a second half that was as bad as Dunston

After a fairly even steven first half – Brighouse took the lead from a penalty after a rash challenge by Chappers (which most people thought was outside the box) & the Blues equalised with a lovely goal. Nyle dropped a deep cross in to Rio who showed footwork to match Paul ‘Strictly’ Sherburn & stuck it top bins – we were more Shakin’ Stevens in the 2nd half as we never got the car off the drive & 2 more defensive mistakes saw us chasing shadows.

A slight rejig of the team as Piteu is unavailable at the moment but Nyle came back into the squad after illness

After a very strong performance last Saturday, Newtons 3rd Law of Motion came into play & we gave the equal & opposite performance yesterday. We looked nervous, tentative, panicky, our pass completion was poor & the communication was non existent

Perhaps the biggest surprise was the defensive display – we’ve built our game around a strong defensive back line but they appeared discombobulated yesterday.

WEBMASTER MOTM – I’m gonna give Rio a shout for the goal (it was a lovely finish) but then it comes down to Kegan & Holli for me who gave their usual (largely unnoticed) ‘get stuck in’ shifts despite feeding on scraps as we went aeriel 2nd half…..& I’m giving it to Holli

Anyway, let’s not dwell on this aberration, we get a chance to put it right next Saturday at home to Hebburn – we really want everyone to get to the Wezzie & get behind the boys

No interviews this week as the Media Team had to shoot off as it was their Xmas Party at Sticky Vickys in Maltby last night – I think it is still in full flow as we speak…..Go Hard Or Go Home for those boys!
