Frickley Athletic Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Lloyd Smith.

The forward and a former Blues player arrives back for his second spell at the club after a successful few years away from the club playing within the NCEL and levels above. He joins us from Worsbrough Bridge.

In his last stint at the club, he appeared 65 times for The Blues and scoring 24 goals across those fixtures.

He has plenty of experience at a variety of levels and arrives as one of the many new building blocks of the new era at the club. He started out at Barnsley FC where he progressed through the academy systems before joining Bradford Park Avenue. He then joined us initially on loan, but making it permeant the season after. Since running on the pitch at The Wezzie, he’s had spells at both Campion and Worsbrough Bridge where he has shown to be a prolific front man.

The club would like to extend a thank you to Worsbrough Bridge for their co-operation with this transfer.

Welcome back to The Wezzie, Lloyd!
