Yes, we’re getting the painters in……..

& we want you all to have a say on what goes on the hallowed walls of the Wezziecana!!

The club has secured funding from ‘Fans for Diversity’ and ‘Football Supporters Federation’ to design and create a mural at Westfield Lane

Urban Artist James Mayle will be working with 10 children and young people from the area to create a mural on the wall in the main stand next to the tea hut.

The mural will represent Frickley Athletic; past, present and future.

Our fans are the heartbeat of the club and we want your ideas for what should be included.
Obviously space is limited so we won’t be able to include everything that is suggested but we want this to be your space

James and the group of young people will be producing the mural in early August so we need your ideas by the end of July.

You can submit your ideas through the social media channels (send a DM via Twitter or submit something via the Facebook inbox if you want to keep them private) or by emailing ryan@frickleyathletic.co.uk. You don’t need to be a great artist to submit your idea(s), you can actually submit a short written brief of what you’d like to see (‘pit headgear’, ‘Barry Gill flying down the wing’ etc etc) so don’t feel excluded if you feel that you can’t sketch an idea.

Come on everyone – get stuck in, this won’t work without you – when we collate the ideas the young people will work with James to design the mural. A massive team effort!!
