When you think of the top 3 Public Enemy Number 1s that have played against us in the past:
- Brad Wells – now Azzurri, now adored
- Leon Mettam – now Azzurri, now adored
- Number 3???????????
How did these players gain their reputations??? Well…….
- We knew they were going to be horrible to play against
- We knew they would give our defence hell
- We knew they would be in the referees ear all game
- We knew they would be winding us fans up
- We knew they knew all the ‘dark arts’
- We knew they would probably score – & wind us fans up again
Well(s), ladies & gentlemen, we are delighted to announce the signing of the 3rd Public Enemy number 1, the ‘Prince Of Darkness’, ‘El Diablo’, ‘Evil ‘Kin Evil’, ‘The Ginger Ninja’……Kieran T Wells (& I think we all know what the T stands for!!!!!)
Kieran is a beast of a centre forward & you’ll probably have seen him play against us for Basford, Stamford (when he broke our hearts in the play offs) & Ilkeston. He has also played for Hednesford amongst others.
Now he’s one of the Good Guys (along with Metts & brother Brad) & I personally cannot wait to see him playing for the Azzurri.
If you want to see him in action, we are away to Carlton Town on Saturday for our final pre season game, kick off 2pm.
