New Signing – Cody Collins

We’re delighted to announce the signing of centre half Cody Collins, who joins the Blues from fellow NCEL side Bottesford Town.

Cody came through the ranks at Mansfield Town before joining Gainsborough. He went out to Rossington Main before joining Bottesford Town, where he was a mainstay during the second half of last season, captaining the side on a number of occasions.

He also has family ties to the Blues, with two of his uncles have also played for Frickley in the past.

The Gaffer had the below to say about the signing of Cody:

’Delighted to finally get Cody over the line, having previously spoken to him in the summer. He has a good background coming through at Mansfield Town and is cut from a good cloth, which I know having previously being captain for his Uncle a number of years ago.

He’s big, strong and good on the ball. A natural leader, even at his young age. Another good addition to the squad. Welcome on board Cody!!

Cody will be available for tomorrow’s FA Cup tie against Brighouse Town
