It’s THE local derby – El Elmsallico – on Friday night, down at The Wezzie! It doesn’t get much better!

We continue our preseason friendly schedule, as we welcome our good friends and lodgers South Elmsall United Services to Westfield Lane, 7:30pm kickoff.

Buoyed by the encouraging signs from Tuesday’s defeat against Ponte Colls, the gaffer Tom Claisse and his management team will be looking to make further progress. They’ll be running the rule over the new squad, with some exciting additions already announced and more to come. Getting them match fit and organised, ready for a tough season ahead, will be the name of the game.

Our opponents, the Soldiers, currently play in the Premier Division of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior Leagur where they finished in 8th place last season. They are no strangers to The Wezzie, ground sharing with us as they do, and they’ve pitched in and helped out over the summer like good friends do. However, this will be the first ever meeting between our 2 first teams and we need a big crowd in to see such a momentous occasion.

Admission is free for those who have purchased season tickets in advance. These will be available to collect from the turnstile prior to kick off. You will also be able to purchase if you are yet to do so. Season tickets ensure free entry to all home preseason games so the sooner you buy, the more you’ll save.
