It’s a return to cup football for the Blues as we start our Sheffield Senior Cup campaign with a 2nd Round tie by welcoming Dodworth Miners Welfare to the Wezzie, kick off is at 7:45pm
The heavy rain that has fallen over the past few days has left the Wezzie pitch in a saturated state, however, so the tie is very much up in the air so watch this space for further updates. Should go ahead provided no more rain falls in the next day
Our visitors Dodworth play in the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Senior League, a couple of steps below the NCEL Premier. However, they have started the season the season in fine form and currently sit top of that league so will be confident and looking for a cup upset.
So fingers crossed the rain holds and the game goes ahead. It’s a cup game so season tickets are not valid so it’s all pay but at the cheaper than usual prices of £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. So wrap up and come and enjoy some good, honest cup football
