It’s back to back away games in quick succession for the Blues as we travel to Golcar United for a rearranged NCEL fixture, kick off is at 7:45pm
Frickley stopped the run of recent defeats on Saturday following a closely contested 1-1 draw at Handsworth courtesy of a 90th Keegan Townrow equaliser. The result saw the Blues slip out of the top half into 11th place, but surpass the total points for the entirety of last season with 11 games to go.
Our hosts Golcar were the ones to take our place in the top half of the table following a 3-1 win away at Bottesford on Saturday. They now sit 10th in the NCEL league table, a point better off than the Blues.
It was Frickley who came out on top in the reverse fixture back in September with a 4-1 win at the Wezzie. The hosts took an early lead through Oliver Russon before an almost immediate equaliser from Alex Varley. Eliel Anku then put the Blues infront before a Danny Stocker own goal on the stroke of half time made it 3-1. Al Keita added a further goal late in the second half to rubber stamp the victory
So come along for some midweek footie action and cheer the lads onto hopefully a positive result. No supporters bus unfortunately but live commentary will be available through PodBean if you’re unable to make the game. Join us from around 7:40 for the coverage
Let’s hope the lads can get back to winning ways and hope for a positive result!!
