Frickley are back in league action as we welcome high flying Emley AFC to Westfield Lane for our latest NCEL fixture, kick off is at 7:45pm
The Blues made it 5 straight wins and 6 without defeat in all competitions at the weekend following the 3-0 victory against Thackley. Goals from Luke Walker, Keegan Townrow and Rieves Boocock tilted a very tight game in our favour to keep the recent run of form going and propel us to 6th in the table, outside the play-offs only on goal difference.
But the next test will be the toughest yet. Emley sit 2nd in the league table, 3 points behind Campion at the top but with 3 games in hand after strong campaigns in both the FA Cup and Vase.
They remain in the Vase after a 1-0 win over Heaton Stannington at the weekend, the latest in an 11 game unbeaten run, with only 1 defeat in their last 22 games. So yeah, pretty daunting task but our lads will be full of confidence and be more than ready to put up a fight.
