It’s been 2 long weeks but let’s hope the weather abates and we finally get to see some football as we welcome Pickering Town to Westfield Lane in the NCEL, kick off is at 3:00pm
A combination of frost and rain has seen our last 3 fixtures fall foul of the weather since the 6-2 defeat at Campion 2 weeks ago. But, on the bright side, it’s given the lads a good break to recover from a hectic November schedule and get ready for a big run of games coming up in the next few weeks.
This run starts with the visit of Pickering tomorrow. Our visitors currently sit 16th in the NCEL table on 17 points. However, 10 of those points have come in their last 6 matches so they have really started to turn a corner and will prove another tough test for the Blues. Their last game was a 1-1 draw against Knaresborough
It was Frickley who claimed all 3 points in the reverse fixture back in August with a 2-0 victory. Goals either side of half time from Alhassane Keita and Richard Collier combined with an inspired Callum Bradbury performance saw the Blues get the job done on a very solid evening
So come along and get behind the lads in what is our final home game before Christmas. With some festive surprises in store, there’s no better place to be than down the Wezzie. So wrap up warm and get behind the lads as we look to get back to winning ways
Hope to see lots of you there!!
