Let the Festive Football begin as Frickley are back on the road for our latest NCEL fixture as we visit Silsden, kick off is at 3:00pm
The Blues bounced back on Tuesday night following a run of poor results with a professional 4-1 win over Nostell Miners Welfare in the SHCFA Senior Cup. Al Keita and Morgan James put us in a commanding position before half time. Nostell pulled one back after Callum Bradbury had saved the initial effort from the spot but couldn’t get to the rebound. However, a second half brace from Lloyd Smith saw the Blues come away comfortable.
Our hosts Silsden will start the day level on points with the Blues, one place above them in the table on goal difference so a close game promises to be in store. They remain in the FA Vase having won their Third Round tie against Newcastle University 4-2 last week. Their last result in the league was a 2-0 defeat at Knaresborough
The Blues came out on top in the reverse fixture at the Wezzie back in August with a 2-0 victory. A tight game for the most part saw us score twice in 1st half stoppage time through Keanan Mannings and Keegan Townrow to take control of the game and see the job through in the 2nd to claim a massive 3 points. Something similar would be very nice tomorrow!!

Silsden will be dedicating the match to one of their former committee members, Eddie Sessford, who passed away suddenly earlier in the year. So there will be a minutes applause for Eddie prior to kick off
