Game Day – Friday 20th March 2026

It’s Friday night football for the final time this season as the Blues welcome Wombwell Town to the Wezzie for what promises to be a fiery local derby, kick off is at 7:45pm

Frickley will be keen to put right the wrongs of recent weeks following another defeat last time out with the 1-0 loss away at Eccleshill United. The Blues were the better side for most of a poor game but failed to produce up front and were caught out late on at the back to leave empty handed

The result saw the Blues drop to 15th in the league table, still on 38 points and looking over their shoulders to the relegation zone behind. Victory tomorrow could see the Blues return to the top half of the table though ahead of the other games this weekend in what remains an incredibly close bottom half

It will be a question of who joins tomorrow night’s visitors in the NCEL Division One next season after Wombwell’s relegation was confirmed on Tuesday night following a 2-1 defeat to Handsworth. The Wellers have endured a miserable debut season in the NCEL Premier but will be playing with an element of freedom tomorrow now their fate is sealed, as they look to end a 26 game winless run in the league

That run included the visit of Frickley back in October where the Blues came away with a 2-0 victory. After a very cagey first half, the Blues got on top in the second with goals from Charlie Clegg and Lucas Robinson securing the 3 points

So come along and get behind the Blues as we look to push on and get back to winning ways. Admission prices are the usual:
