1 week and 3 games are all that remains of the 2022/23 NCEL season, and we tick the first of those off with a trip to Eccleshill United, kick off is at 3:00pm
This is normally the part of the match preview where I talk about our previous game but no one wants reminding about last Saturday so instead I’ll say this.
Football always gives you another opportunity to put right the wrongs of the previous week, and tomorrow presents an opportunity for the lads to put last week behind them and produce the performance and result that we all know they’re capable of!! And we need to get behind them and support!!
A win tomorrow and defeat for either Bottesford or Goole would be enough to guarantee our NCEL Premier status for another season so there’s certainly the incentive there to play for
Our opponents Eccleshill are currently directly about us in the table in 16th and are without a win in their last 7 games, drawing 2 and losing 5 in that run. Their last result was a 2-1 home defeat to Barton Town.
It was all square in the reverse fixture at the Wezzie back in November, as the game finished 1-1. A certain Lloyd Smith marked his Blues debut with a goal on the night, fair to say he’s had a few more since then as well!!
