We all know that Frickley is for life, not just for Kwanzaa
I’m sure that you’re all aware that we’ve got a Working Day at The Wezzie on Saturday 28th December which will help you shed a bit of the timber that you’ve piled on due to caning the Baileys. We’ll be glad to see you all at the ground – plenty for everyone to do, age & ability is no barrier.
But the football club is much more than the occasional Working Day & what happens from 3pm on a Saturday & 7.45pm on a weekday evening. We need help at the ground on matchdays & we need help at the ground throughout the week. We are looking for helpers, volunteers & assistance on a regular basis
The prep for a matchday starts immediately after the final whistle from the previous game – the kit has to be washed, the ground has to be tidied, the pitch has to be cut & marked out, the turnstiles need coverage, we need people to sell programmes & fund raise, we need personnel in the Pavilion before, during & after the game, we need to prepare food for the players & officials after the game, we have to clean the changing rooms…..I could go on.
None of this happens by magic – there is no Matchday Fairy. Currently all the above is done by a small band of heroes – but they’re flagging – & we need your help.
If anyone can help out on a first team and / or U21s matchday, or during the week – whether that is regularly or irregularly, whether it is for an hour or all day, please get in touch. Contact Ryan or any Board Member – it’ll make their Xmas to hear from you….
