Existing as a non-league football club is difficult, really difficult. There’s no money from TV Rights, no sale of players for seven figure sums and no multi-million pound sponsorship deals. It is a task only made possible by the thousands of volunteers that serve their clubs up and down the country.
These volunteers keep these clubs going. In fact, they keep them alive.
At Frickley Athletic we have taken many steps over the past few years to do more, be more and grow the football club.
This growth has fallen on the shoulders of an incredible group of volunteers. We need to add to their numbers. In recent weeks and months it has become clear that the club has reached a tipping point in respect to how much more we can ask of the same group of people.
We are now appealing to both our fanbase and the local community to come forward and offer up as much time and help as you possibly can to help our community focused football club.
We need help in the following areas:
- Saturday morning café assistants (for the weekly parkrun)
- Matchday Stewards
- Cleaners
- Grounds Maintenance
- U21s home fixtures gatemen and catering assistants
Volunteering at your local club can be so rewarding and you also become part of a great group of existing people that understand the importance this football club plays to its community.
