Summer Signing – Sam Cable

Another summer signing and one that we are very excited about as it sees a return to the Wezzie for Sam Cable!!

A player who needs little introduction, Sam started his career within our U19’s set up before getting his first taste of senior football with Selby Town.

He would then return to the Wezzie to play for the senior side during our NPL Division 1 days before returning to Selby and establishing a reputation as a prolific goalscorer.

This saw him move to Goole and later Barton in the NCEL, continuing his scoring prowess before moving onto Garforth Town where he helped them gain promotion to the NPL. He now leaves Garforth to return to where it all began!!

The Gaffer had the below to say about Sam‘s signing:

’Great to get Sam over the line. Having played with and against him over the years, I know exactly what he brings to a team. He’s a fantastic lad who has good standards in everything he does. He’s a hardworking, energetic striker who will score plenty of goals. Welcome on board Sam!!’
