We are delighted to announce that we have turned down an offer from a club higher up the pyramid for our goalkeeper, Tom Jackson.
The Gaffer said “Having had discussions with TJ, he made it quite clear he’s very happy at the football club & whilst he wants to play higher (as do we) he wants to see the season out with us & hopefully move forward.
After a difficult start to the season, it’s evident that TJ has produced some outstanding performances & cleans sheets & is a massive part in the turnaround that has seen us go from bottom of the league to play off contenders.
We are open & honest with our players, when other clubs come in for them, we always notify them. We are delighted that TJs foreseeable future is here at the football club as a contracted player & we are delighted with that news”
Personally I think that is superb news & more evidence of the team spirit amongst the Azzurri
