3rd time lucky as the Blues look to finally play our NCEL League Cup quarter final against Liversedge at the Wezzie, kick off is at 7:45pm

It’s 3 defeats on the spin for Frickley following the 2-0 defeat away at Pickering at the weekend. There were some bright spells for the Blues but they ultimately couldn’t find a finishing touch and suffered the defeat as a result

Frickley advanced to the quarter finals of the league cup following a 2-0 wing against Golcar United back in November. It’s the joint furthest the Blues have ever progressed in the competition, losing at the quarter final stage previously in the 2023/24 season on penalties to Campion

League leaders Liversedge returned to winning ways at the weekend after a surprise 1-0 defeat to Thackley the previous week. They did leave it late though to come from 3-2 down to beat Bottesford Town 4-3 and retain their advantage at the top. They progressed to this stage of the League Cup courtesy of a 3-2 victory over Pickering
