Match Preview – Tuesday 18th November 2025

After a weekend off, the Blues are back in action with a return to cup football as we welcome Rossington Main to the Wezzie for our Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior Cup Third Round tie, kick off at 7:45pm

The Blues extended their unbeaten run to 5 games in all competitions last Tuesday following a 1-1 draw against Pickering Town. It was a game that ended with a tinge of disappointment though as Frickley dominated throughout and despite Tom Alngohuro giving us a first half lead, Frickley spurned countless chances to kill the game off and were ultimately sucker punched by a soft penalty late on.

Still, it was another game without defeat, a run which includes our second round tie in this competition, with the Blues recording a comfortable 3-0 victory over Jubilee Sports thanks to a first half Tom Alngohuro strike and a second half brace from Destiny Nnenanya.

Our opponents this time are fellow NCEL Premier side Rossington Main. Rosso are yet to play a SHCFA Senior Cup fixture this season, having received a bye in the First Round before a walkover against Wombwell Main in the last round so they will be looking to kick start their season with a victory in the cup, where most of their success so far this campaign has been with solid FA Cup and Case runs

Rosso will also be looking for some payback follow g the last meeting between the sides just over two weeks ago in the NCEL, where the Blues ran out comfortable 4-1 winners.

Shaun Heselwood opened the scoring in the first half before Ross Hannah pulled the visitors level on the stroke of half time. However, a Destiny Nnenanya stoke, a Lucas Robinson penalty and a late thunderbolt from Charlie Clegg secured the 3 points for the Blues
