It’s a return to Westfield Lane for the Blues as we welcome Knaresborough Town in our latest NCEL fixture, kick off is at 3:00pm
Blues News
After 7 games without a win, and the turbulence of the departure of manager James Baxendale, the Blues will able to pull together and deliver a much needed 3 points with a 3-0 victory against Goole.
Goals from Charlie Clegg, Rob Guilfoyle and new signing Marcel Chipamaunga saw the Blues to victory but, perhaps more importantly, the ball stayed out of Adam Hewitson’s net at the other end to give us a first clean sheet of the season in what should be a real boost in confidence for the defensive line.
The victory saw the Blues climb the NCEL table as we approach the halfway point in the season, though results in midweek have seen us slip back to 16th on 15 points. However, that is only 3 points from 9th place so another victory tomorrow for the interim management of Jack Varley and Lewis Binns would make the picture look much brighter

Our opponents
Our visitors to Westfield Lane this weekend are Knaresborough Town. One of the few sides sitting below the Blues in the league table, Knaresborough come into this one in 18th place with 11 points from their opening 13 matches.
They are currently on a run of 6 games without a win in all competitions, and have not won a league game since a 4-0 victory over Tadcaster Albion at the start of September. They have though picked up a few draws in that time, most recently a 0-0 draw against Eccleshill last weekend.
On paper, they remain a strong looking outfit with plenty of experience both at NPL and NCEL level in the forms of James Beaston, Jack Lazenby and Adam Priestley so will be looking to get back to winning ways and will provide a stern test to the Blues tomorrow
