Match Preview – Saturday 14th February 2026

Your evening may be red but your afternoon is Blue and White as Frickley head to Handsworth for our latest NCEL fixture this Valentine’s Day, kick off is at 3:00pm

The Blues come into this one after another weather affected week since the 3-0 defeat to league leaders Liversedge that saw us exit the NCEL League Cup for another season

It was a 4th defeat in a row for the Blues who have lost the pre Christmas momentum after the weather hit schedule but will be keen to regain it with a strong performance tomorrow. The Blues have now slide to 15th in the NCEl Premier Division table so need to start climbing back the right way.

It’s another tough ask though with hosts Handsworth battling away in the NCEL Play Off places. The Ambers start the day in 3rd place in the table, having won their last 3 fixtures in the league, the latest of which being a 3-1 victory over Rossington Main last time out

Frickley will be looking to reverse the previous fixture though, where Handsworth ran out 3-0 winners at the Wezzie thanks to goals from Jordan Hines and a late double from Josh Nodder
