There is no finer sight than the Wezziecana (aka The SALUS Stadium), especially under the floodies on a cold winter evening but the floodlights are inching closer to their end of life. Installed in the 1980s they are expensive to run in terms of electricity usage & replacement bulbs are now over £200 per bulb (and we lose at least 2 per season)
So we are now looking to have brand new LED floodlights installed – it’s the right thing to do, it will save money, it’s better environmentally (the Blues are going green!!) and the lights are guaranteed for 10 years
We have applied for (and been granted) 70% of the costs but we need to find the remaining 30% and that’s our biggest challenge
We more than the first team at 3pm on a Saturday – our Foundation, our academy teams & our womens football teams are all based here – so we are reaching out to our local community in SESKU & beyond, to regional & national supporters for help.
We are looking to individuals, groups, businesses & organisations (small, medium & large) for financial support to help us towards our target. All size donations are welcome – if you can’t afford to donate but you can share this message that is important also – sharing is caring!
