Frickley Athletic U23’s attacker Josh Haigh commits and makes the permanent move into the First Team for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Manager Pat McGuire commented: “Josh has come through the U23’s and has proven himself to be well capable of playing at this level. He has bags of energy, plays with a purpose, and is a threat physically, and if he continues to show the will to improve and develop we could have a serious player on our hands. We’re really looking forward to working with Haighy again this year”

Haigh commented: “Delighted to commit to Frickley this season. After coming through the U23’s last season and being able to hold down my spot, I’m looking to develop and push on this season. After speaking to both Pat and Blake about this year’s plan, I’ll be working hard with the team to get this club where it needs to be.”

The versatile attacker joined the club last season featuring in the FAFC U23’s dominant development league run winning the league title. Haigh made 19 appearances for the first team last season scoring 3 goals.

Great to have you back for another season Haighy!!
