We’re delighted to announce that the skipper Joel Spence has committed to the club ahead of the 2025/26 and becomes the first confirmed member of Tom Claisse’s squad
Joel was the stand out player for the Blues in a difficult campaign last season, delivering some big performances and clutch moments. This was recognised as he took home a clean sweep of end of season rewards, winning Player’s Player, Manager’s Player and Supporter’s Player.
The Gaffer had this to say on Joel confirming for the new season:
‘Delighted to extend Joel’s stay at the club. He’s had a lot of interest since I’ve come in but he’s said from the outset that he wants to play for myself, which is a credit to him and shows the type of lad he is.
He drove the team last season and set the standards. I’m looking forward to working with Joel again this coming season’
