Just 6 games to go now as the run in is firmly underway, our latest fixture sees the Blues travel to Yorkshire Amateur in the NCEL, kick off is at 7:45pm
It’s been well over a week since our last action following last weekend’s postponement against Emley, so Pat McGuire has had plenty of time to reflect on the 3-2 defeat against Golcar last time out and work with the lads as he continues to settle into the managerial hot seat at Westfield Lane.
His revised first away trip sees us visit Yorkshire Amateur, who currently sit at the foot of the NCEL in 20th. However, they picked up a positive result in their most recent fixture, snatching a late point against Handsworth in a 2-2 draw
Our hosts have only won twice this season but one of those did come at the Wezzie back in September as some questionable defending was combined with some woeful finishing from the Azzuri to allow Amateur to nick the game in the death 3-2, Lee Bennett and Szymon Czubik with the Frickley goals. A day to forget but hopefully a chance to put things right this time around!!
