It’s a Tuesday night under the lights and what a game it promises to be as we welcome Bottesford Town to the Wezzie for our latest NCEL game, kick off is at 7:45pm
The Azzuri will be looking to build on a very positive showing against Barton on Saturday that saw us take our first point of 2023 with a 1-1 draw, The Hawk Al Keita proving to be Barton’s bane yet again with his 3rd goal against them this season.
It sets us up nicely for a massive six pointer at the bottom of the table, with Bottesford sitting two places below us in 19th, 9 points behind but with a game in hand so it’s a gap we can’t afford to let close. Bottesford slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Handsworth at the weekend so will be looking to bounce back.
It was only game 3 of the season when the two sides met back in August on one of the hottest days of the year, with Bottesford taking all 3 points following a 2-1 win, Charlie Clegg’s late consolation wasn’t quite enough for the Blues to take anything from the game.
Tomorrow won’t be one of the hottest days of the year, so make sure you wrap up warm and come along for a huge match for both teams who desperately need some points. It should be a belter!!
