It’s back to back away games for the Blues as we visit Golcar United in our latest NCEL tie, kick off is at 7:45pm
The Blues will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-1 defeat against league leaders Emley, and will certainly be hoping for a better start following Callum Bradbury’s 1st minute red card that forced Richard Collier into goal for the full game. It was a spirited performance from the lads after that point though and there were positives to take into tomorrow night.
Results on Saturday meant that we stayed 9th in the NCEL standings though the gap above widened and the gap below lessened so hopefully 3 points tomorrow can get us back on track!!
Our hosts Golcar are 1 point and 1 place below us in the table following some impressive recent results, including a 5-2 win over front running Campion and a 3-2 victory away at Silsden last time out so it certainly won’t be an easy game for the Frickley boys
It was Frickley who came out on top in the reverse fixture back in September with a 4-1 win at the Wezzie. The hosts took an early lead through Oliver Russon before an almost immediate equaliser from Alex Varley. Eliel Anku then put the Blues infront before a Danny Stocker own goal on the stroke of half time made it 3-1. Al Keita added a further goal late in the second half to rubber stamp the victory
So come along for some midweek footie action and cheer the lads onto hopefully a positive result. No supporters bus unfortunately but live commentary will be available through PodBean if you’re unable to make the game. Join us from around 7:40 for the coverage
Let’s hope the lads can get back to winning ways and hope for a positive result!!
