It’s been a 10 day break in action for the Blues but we’re back tomorrow night as we travel to Hallam in the NCEL, kick off is at 7:45pm
Let’s be honest, we’ve all probably needed a 10 day break after the drama that ensued in our last game. Has everyone recovered from Callum Bradbury’s 94th minute equaliser against Barton Town just yet? I know I haven’t but I still can’t wait to see what this rollercoaster start to the season has to offer next!!
Whilst the Azzuri have taken to the training pitch for the past few days, the league has continued around us and we’ve dropped a few places from 3rd down to 6th as the top of the NCEL premier continues to tighten in these early stages. Time to push on and solidify our spot around those play offs
Many people’s preseason favourites to challenge at the very top of this league, our hosts Hallam are enduring a difficult spell at the moment, with mixed results combined with a number of key injuries seeing them sat 11th in the early table and without a win in 5 league matches. However, they’ve boosted their squad with some marquee signings and remain formidable on their own turf, so will still provide a stern test of Frickley’s play off ambitions at this early stage.
The Blues will be without manager Pat McGuire as he serves the first of a 2 game touchline ban following his sending off against Barton last time out so assistant Blake Campbell will be leading the troops from the sidelines
There’s no supporters bus for the game tomorrow unfortunately but, if you’re unable to make the game, we’ll be providing our usual full match commentary via PodBean so you won’t miss any of the action. Join us around 7:40pm for the coverage.
October is among us and it’s time to push the lads into the cold months with what will hopefully be another positive result. Hope to see you all there to cheer the boys on!!
