The Blues return to SHCFA Senior Cup action this midweek as we reach the quarter final stage and welcome our old friends from the NPL, Stocksbridge Park Steels, to Westfield Lane, kick off is at 7:45pm
Frickley secured their place in the quarter finals with a comfortable 4-1 win over Nostell Miners Welfare in the previous round. First half goals from Al Keita and Morgan James were boosted by a second half brace from Lloyd Smith, Harley Blankley getting the Nostell consolation from the penalty spot.
Our visitors Stocksbridge are currently one league above Frickley in the football pyramid, sitting in 17th in the Northern Premier League Division 1 East. They reached the quarter finals with a 4-0 win over Dinnington Town
So come along for what promises to be a fiery local derby against two old rivals and a good chance to see how we stack up against higher league opponents. Usual match day amenities will be available so wrap up warm and get behind the lads as we play for a place in the semi finals
