2022 continues apace and we’re at home again this Saturday as we host Stockton Town in our next league game, 3pm kick off.
Our first meeting with The Anchors back in October was a cracker, with Bomber Wells scoring a beaut in a 1-1 draw. More of the same incoming – so get thisen down to The Everbuild Wezzie for some proper football and a first look at our new loan signing, striker Josh Scott, from Mansfield Town.
As usual, the bar will be open for a sherry or two, there’s pies, curry, chips, tea and coffee on offer, you can try your luck on the Golden Goal and Half Time draw, plus there’s bucketloads of free parking at the ground too! The only change to the usual attractions is that the award-winning matchday programme will only be available online this week as Covid has unfortunately struck down our wonderful printer, Mark, so we wish him a speedy recovery.
Talking of Covid, and that’s all I’ve done for nearly 2 years now, please remember that capacity for Saturday’s game is still restricted at 9,999 to avoid the need for Covid passports so get there early! I’ve got a feeling in my water that it’s going to be a big crowd on Saturday! (Although it could be my body re-acclimatising to life without the industrial quantities of Bailey’s, silverskin onions, matchmakers and cheese that I put away over Christmas!)
There will be sanitising stations on entry to the ground and the bar, and masks must be worn if entering the Pavilion.
The matchball has been generously sponsored in the memory of Dom Stones and Andy Anderson. We would like to thank the sponsor for their kind support, and join them in remembering our dear friends, Dom and Andy. Rest in peace, brothers.
See you all on Saturday….
