It’s the dawn of a new era at the Wezzie as Pat McGuire and Blake Campbell enter the dugout for the first time. The visitors for their first home game will be Golcar United, with kick off at 3:00pm
The new gaffer will find his side high on confidence following Martin Beaumont’s two games as interim manager, the second of which saw us come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Handsworth last Saturday, with Al Keita and Lloyd Smith again scoring the goals before a Harrison Davison-Hale masterclass (and a little bit of luck) brought the point home.
However, tomorrow’s opponents will prove to be another tough test as Golcar come into the fixture on a 6 match unbeaten run that has seen them rise to 11th in the league table. Last time out saw them also draw 2-2, as they hosted Hemsworth MW
Prior to the victory at Silsden last week, the Azzuri’s 2-1 win at Golcar back in October had been our most recent away win!! A smart early finish from Szymon Czubik was followed by *that* George Green free kick (if you know, you know) to wrap up the 3 points in a very close encounter
So, get yourself down to the Wezzie to support Pat, Blake and the lads as we look to continue our recent good form and start the new era with 3 points. Turnstile and bar will be open from 1:00pm so why not come along early, bring a friend and enjoy some pre match hospitality?
