Where does the time go? We’ve already reached our final game of January 2023 and it’s another away trip as we head to Knaresborough Town AFC for our latest NCEL match, kick off is at 3:00pm
It’s been three weeks since our last game at Penistone so the lads will certainly be raring to go and get back out there. Last time we had 3 weeks between games was before the 3-0 thrashing of Hemsworth (just saying) so maybe it’s a good thing for us!!
Knaresborough currently sit 10th in the league table and haven’t had the same luxury of a 3 week layoff, as they were one of four teams to play last weekend, going down 3-0 away at the aforementioned Hemsworth so they will also be hoping for a response
Saturday presents us with another chance to complete a league double for the season, having run out 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture back in September. It was a night for the free kick specialists, Ben Hall firing a 30 yard arrow into the top corner to open the scoring with what will surely be a goal of the season contender before Richard Collier repeated the feet 2 minutes later from the opposite side. More of the same tomorrow please!!
Tomorrow’s game should see a Frickley debut for goalkeeper Harrison Davison-Hale who signed from Belper Town earlier in the week, as well as a return from suspension for Lewis Binns and a few others who may have shaken off knocks from the Penistone game, giving Wayne Benn plenty of options
There are still a few spaces left on the Supporters Coach for the game, leaving North Elmsall at 1:00pm and returning immediately after the game. Seats are £10 per adult or £5 per U16’s and can be booked by contacting Ian Clarkson on 07790 569075. But don’t delay as space is filling up fast!!
