Frickley are back on the road this Saturday as we head to league leaders Campion AFC in the NCEL, kick off is at 3:00pm

The Blues moved into the playoff places in the league following Tuesday’s dramatic 4-4 against Knaresborough Town. A poor first half showing saw the Blues go into half time 3-0 down but a second half resurgence saw goals from Josh Haigh, Keegan Townrow and Keanan Mannings drag us back to 3-3.

Knaresborough looked to have snatched all 3 points back after going 4-3 ahead in injury time but Frickley came back again as Lloyd Smith calmly converted a 98th minute penalty with the last kick of the game to make it all square. It’s certainly not dull at the Wezzie at the moment!!

The games don’t get any easier though as the league leaders are the next challenge. Campion boast the most potent attack in the league and remain unbeaten at home this season. They’re also on a 9 match unbeaten run so certainly promises to be another tough task. Their last game saw them win 4-2 against Goole on Wednesday night

It’s the reverse of the opening day, a game that saw Campion run out 3-0 winners at the Wezzie. An early goal from Patrick Sykes was followed by a very even game until two late set pieces were both converted by Joe Colley to put a more comfortable look on the scoreline for the away side.

So come along and get behind the lads on the road!! No supporters coach unfortunately but live commentary will be available through PodBean (for definite this week we promise) if you are unable to make it. Join us around 2:55 for the coverage

Should be a good game against two sides going very well this season. Hope to see you all there
