Frickley return to the Wezzie for our final league fixture of November as we entertain Maltby Main, with an early kick off at 1:30pm
The Azzuri will be looking for a response following a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Goole last week, where Lloyd Smith’s 2nd half goal and a spirited fight back wasn’t enough to make up for a lacklustre 1st half.
Saturday does present the first opportunity for us to complete a league double this weekend, following a 1-0 victory at Maltby on the opening day of the season courtesy of a top class save from Charlie Preston that was immediately followed by a smart finish from Lee Bennett in the final minutes of the game.
However, Maltby have since risen to 13th in the League Table and got some payback in the Sheffield Senior Cup last month, with a 4-2 win at the Wezzie. So it’s 1-1 results wise, time for the decider!!
Wayne Benn will have new signings Josh Haigh and Elliot Owen available for selection to add more depth to the squad
No live commentary for this game but Twitter updates will be provided throughout. And if that’s not enough for you, the best place to be is pitch side at the Wezzie, usual amenities will be available. Come on, it’s not like there’s much other football on at the moment
What? There’s a World Cup on? Well it’s a good job someone mentioned that, we can show that as well. So join us in the bar after the game to watch France vs Denmark and enjoy 50p off all draught Coors, Carling and Worthingtons orders from final whistle at the Wezzie to final whistle in Qatar. So come along and watch Frickley, then stay and watch the World Cup
Let’s try and end November on a high with a big 3 points!!
