Game Day – Saturday 23rd September 2023

Another Saturday and another NCEL game at the Wezzie. This week sees an early season top of the table clash as we welcome Barton Town, kick off is at 3:00pm

The Blues made it 6 league wins from the opening 8 fixtures last weekend with a hard thought, last gasp 2-1 victory against Eccleshill United. Al Keita marked his 50th appearance for the club with both goals, including the 90th minute winner, which sees Frickley sitting a lofty 3rd place in the early table

Our visitors Barton, however, have also had a strong start to the new campaign. Currently 8th in the early table, a win for them tomorrow could see them leap frog the Azzuri in the early standings. They have suffered back to back defeats in their last two fixtures, including a 1-0 reverse to Golcar United last week, so will be looking to get back to winning ways

So come along for what promises to be a highly competitive game of non league football. All of the usual match day amenities will be available so come grab a pint, a pie and enjoy the game!!
