It’s finally time for a return to the Wezzie as Frickley Athletic welcome Winterton Rangers for our first home league game of 2023, kick off at 3:00pm
The Blues haven’t played a home game for nearly a month, following the festive 3-0 thrashing of Hemsworth MW on 27/12/22 and will certainly be hoping that a repeat performance is on the cards tomorrow.
It’s been successive away trips since that game, including one to Winterton for our first game of the year, with tomorrow’s visitors running out 4-0 winners. The game was more even than the score line would suggest but defensive errors and clinical finishing showed the difference between being near the top or the bottom of the table.
Winterton remain 2nd in the league table behind runaway leaders North Ferriby and were one of the few teams not to fall foul of the weather last weekend, as they picked up a 2-1 win against Hemsworth MW
So come along for our first home game of the year. All the usual amenities will be available to try and help keep you warm on what is sure to be a chilly January day. No live commentary for this one either, if you want to know what’s happening, there’s only one place to be!!
