We’re back on our travels this weekend as we visit Eccleshill United for our latest NCEL fixture, kick off is at 3:00pm
The Blues come into this game on back to back victories following last weeks 4-3 victory against Maltby Main. A Lloyd Smith penalty, a Rieves Boocock double and a Morgan James header looked to have secured a comfortable victory. However, Maltby fought back with 3 late goals but Frickley held on to take the 3 points, a win that sees us up to 9th in the table, 4 points outside the play off places.
Eccleshill are another side struggling at the wrong end of the league table. They currently sit 18th in the league, 3 points above Maltby in the relegation spot so will be desperate for the points. They picked up a respectful point against Rossington Main last week with a 2-2 draw.
It was Frickley who took the 3 points in the reverse fixture back in September with a 2-1 win. Lamin Janneh put the away side in front but a late double from Alhassane Keita turned the game around for the Blues, with the second coming deep in stoppage time.
