It’s a quick turnaround for the lads as we prepare for another away trip in the NCEL, this time to Albion Sports AFC with kick off at 3:00pm
It was more late heartbreak on Wednesday night for the Azzuri as Yorkshire Amateur scored a 94th minute equaliser to snatch a point in dreadful conditions with the game finishing 2-2. But, with Bottesford losing at North Ferriby, it was another point gained as we look to head towards safety for the season.
The opportunity for the lads to put things right comes around very quickly though and we’ll be looking for our first win of the Pat McGuire era as we head to Albion Sports. Albion currently sit 15th in the league table, on a decent run of 4 games unbeaten in the league. Their last result was a 2-2 draw with Hallam so will pose another tough test for the Blues.
It was honours even in the reverse fixture back in October as a George Green penalty secured a point for Frickley in a 1-1 draw.
There’s still time to book a seat on the supporters coach for this game, which leaves North Elmsall at 1:00pm and returns straight after the game. Give Ian a ring on 07790 569075 if you want to book a seat.
And if you can’t make it, we’ll be providing live commentary of the game via Podbean if you want to listen in. Join us around 2:55pm for the coverage.
Let’s put Wednesday’s disappointment behind us and look to get a vital 3 points!!
