Frickley are on the road once again this weekend, with a trip to Yorkshire Amateur FC, kick off is at 3:00pm
It’s been a poor start to 2023 for the Azzuri, with successive 4-0 and 5-2 defeats at Winterton and Penistone respectively. So a big response will be needed to hopefully get things back on track
However, in contrast to our two previous high flying opponents, Yorkshire Amateur find themselves at the foot of the table after a challenging campaign, but were only narrowly beaten last time out, losing 1-0 away at Hemsworth MW, so tomorrow’s game presents an opportunity for both sides
Amateur have only picked up 7 points so far this season, but 3 of those came at the Wezzie in the reverse fixture, as Amateur ran out 3-2 winners courtesy of a last minute winner. It was a game that Frickley largely dominated but some awful finishing meant we couldn’t take our chances and fell short. Lee Bennett and Symon Czubik with the goals on the day
No supporters bus for the trip into Leeds tomorrow but there is a map available in the Match Centre for this wishing to make their own way.
