Frickley return to home action in the NCEL as we welcome Penistone Church to Westfield Lane for our latest league fixture, kick off is at 3:00pm

However, with snow on the ground and further rain forecast for today, the weather will once again have a say on the fate of the game. Keep an eye on socials and the website for any updates regarding pitch inspections and potential postponements!!

Despite the postponement of Tuesday night’s trip to Golcar, the Blues remain in a solid 9th place in the NCEL table, though the gap to the playoff places has now grown to 9 points as the teams above continue to make ground. But hopefully Saturday will present a chance for Frickley to bounce back and get back to winning ways

Our visitors Penistone come into the game 2 places above Frickley in 7th place, firmly in the hunt for those top 5 places and a shot at promotion. They come into this one on the back of a very strong result last week, beating high flying Thackley 5-1. They’ve also boasted recent wins against Emley and Hallam so will be a very tough test.

Penistone came out on top in the reverse fixture as well with a comfortable 2-0 win. Goals either side of half time from Edward Newsome and Leon Hurles-Brook doing the damage on the day to give Penistone the victory.

So come along and get behind the lads as we push into the business end of the season. All the usual match day amenities will be available so let’s get a good crowd and make some noise for the boys in blue

Hope to see you all there!!
