Frickley Athletic partnership with South Elmsall United Services – A Statement:

A few months ago we sat down with our friends and ground share partners, South Elmsall United Services, aka The Soldiers, and discussed working together in a footballing partnership.

The partnership would allow our u18 academy team to provide lads to the Soldiers to bring them on in adult football and allow Frickley first team and u23 players an opportunity when coming back from injuries to get in minutes. We would also look at players coming the other way should they wish to put themselves forward for NCEL football.

We are pleased to say that a number of the u18 side now play with them, Charlie Clayworth, Tyler Sheard and Alfie Studd. It is key for us to manage the minutes these lads get and this is something that Dave and Macca at The Soldiers recognise. 

This week, first team player Lewis Binns has signed a dual registration to allow him to get more minutes under his belt as he comes back from injury.

Hopefully, this partnership will continue to flourish.
