The last time we lost a competitive game was 22nd February, exactly 7 months to last nights game – it still doesn’t get any easier to take!

The Gaffer called it on Saturday – we’d had 2 scrappy, scruffy wins & the first time that we play anything like we lose, meaning that the FA Cup dream is over for another year & we join the ranks of teams who are ‘focussing on the league’.

We almost had the dream start with Margs ‘scoring’ but the ref chalked it off for hands. But from that point we were never quite able to make the most of the half chances & Marine took 1 of the 2 chances that they created in the 2nd half & that was that.

We played much better than the previous 2 Saturdays but I still don’t think we’ve fully ‘clicked’ yet, we get another chance to put that right on Saturday when we travel to Newcastle for a league fixture, kick off 3pm.
